Most clients describe SMP as mild discomfort, around 2-3 out of 10 — significantly less than a traditional tattoo. We use refined micro-needles and numbing protocols to keep each session comfortable.

Most clients need 2-4 sessions, spaced 7-14 days apart. Session one lays the foundation; session two adds density; session three refines tone and coverage. Larger Norwood 6-7 coverage may need a fourth session.

Absolutely. Female SMP is one of our fastest-growing treatments, most commonly for diffuse thinning, female pattern hair loss and alopecia. We use finer needles and softer pigment tones to blend seamlessly beneath existing hair.

SMP is semi-permanent. Pigment is deposited in the upper dermis and fades gradually over 4-8 years. Most clients choose a top-up every 4-6 years to maintain sharpness. If you ever want to remove it, laser tattoo removal is effective — we offer this in-house.

Yes. Because SMP sits in the upper dermis with high-quality carbon pigments, it responds very well to laser tattoo removal. We offer this in the same clinic. In practice, very few clients request removal because the pigment softens naturally over time.

There's no "best" age. We treat clients from their early 20s through to their 70s. Younger clients with progressive hair loss benefit from a design that can evolve; older clients tend to want coverage that complements natural greying. We plan every design individually.

Eat a full meal beforehand, stay hydrated, avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours, and shave the area to a grade 0-1 on the morning of your appointment. Avoid blood-thinners (where medically appropriate) for 48 hours. We'll send a full pre-session checklist when you book.
